Recently, Joris Van Nieuwenhove representing the DGD Belgian government visited Indonesia in December 2025 to assess the impact of the WSM and ACV partnership on workers in Indonesia.
Previously, the WSM & ACV program organized a short meeting on join hosted by Kris Vanslambrouck of 11.11.11. the Belgian umbrella NGO on December 3 to 6 , 2025.
On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, WSM, ACV and IFSI-ISVI held a meeting at a Ciasem 12 restaurant of Cikini Jakarta to discuss the ‘Decent Work’ program in Indonesia, together with Joris of theDGD and Kris of the 11.11.11. Meirhaq Kifly and Bismo present the progress of WSM program in Indonesia while Maria Emeninta in join presentation with Jeroen Roskams that attending the meeting by zoom presenting program of ACV International both in KSBSI and also at regional level of Asia. Nelson Saragih from FSP2KI took the opportunity to share about the IFSI-IVSI program particularly past 4 years in Indonesia.
Joris expressed his appreciation to the divers of service of program to workers in Indonesia on different issues: social protection, climate change and just transition, organizing, legal service, gender mainstream and Human Right Due Diligence as its all the crucial issues nowadays for workers all over the world. On specific attention to synergy between program that also well maintain became point of attention for Belgian government.
The following day, Joris and Kris continued with field visit to Panarub factory of Tangerang including a visit to a garment/shoe factory in Tangerang with FSB GARTEKS. The visit also included a meeting with FPE members working at IMIP in Makassar, Morowali before Joris back to Belgium.
