KSBSI President Elly Rosita Silaban, accompanied by Maria Emeninta, ACVI Asia Regional Coordinator, and Sulistri, Secretary General of FSB KAMIPARHO, visited the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) and the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) to promote respect for business and human rights. The meeting was held on Wednesday (October 21, 2020).
“Responsible businesses must respect human rights and protect workers’ rights, not only within the company but also throughout the supply chain,” said Elly.
Elly emphasized that in Indonesia, the implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) is a crucial step to prevent violations, strengthen corporate accountability, and build collaboration between the government, employers, and labor unions to achieve sustainable and equitable business practices.
