Work Program Development Workshop between ACV CSCi and WSM Belgium with KSBSI

Jakarta – ACV CSCi and WSM held a workshop to evaluate and develop the 2026-2031 work program plan for KSBSI.

The workshop took place from January 22-24, 2026, in Jakarta. The objective was to evaluate the previous year’s work program and develop the 2026-2031 work program plan, particularly regarding strengthening decent work for Indonesian labor partners. The workshop included representatives from 13 KSBSI affiliate federations, the KSBSI Youth Committee, and the K2N KSBSI.

The workshop featured an introductory session by Jeroen Johan K. Roskams, Asia Desk Officer for ACV International Belgium, and Gabriela Elgegren, a representative from WSM. They explained the agenda and objectives of the workshop, the framework, new collaborations, new priority materials, and the framework structure.

This was followed by an overall evaluation of the current programs: the WSM Program 2022–2026 (Emma Liliefna) and the ACV-CSCi Program 2022–2026 (Martua Raja).

Participants then reflected on the overall challenges for decent work in Indonesia over the next five years, the future challenges for decent work in Indonesia, presentations and discussions on global challenges for decent work in Indonesia, and group work, followed by conclusions and next steps.

KSBSI President Elly Rosita Silaban, in her remarks, stated that this meeting aimed to determine the direction and objectives of the union’s work program in building organizational capacity related to promoting decent work for workers.

“Our mission for the next five years is to determine what we can do, predict future employment issues, and map out challenges, hopes, and concrete actions to promote decent work,” said Elly Rosita Silaban.

Her focus is on this work program plan, which will allow us to adjust the budget and activity effectiveness to achieve the desired results.

“Hopefully, we can contribute our thoughts and brilliant ideas, and implement work programs in the 13 KSBSI affiliate federations,” Elly hoped.
