KSBSI Welcomes the Launch of the KADIN For Naker Platform

ACV-CSCIASIA.ORG, JAKARTA – The Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSBSI) attended the launch of the “KADIN For Naker” (KADIN for Manpower) Platform today . Is an online digital platform in the field of employment initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in collaboration with the PIJAR Foundation and involving the Worker/Labor Confederation as a platform to improve workers’ skills in facing the digitalization era.

On this occasion, Elly Rosita Silaban, President of KSBSI was given the first opportunity to deliver his remarks. Elly said, KSBSI welcomed the collaboration between employers, the government and labor unions, especially in launching this Kadin for laborers.

“Hopefully this platform can answer the challenges of workers/laborers in facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 to Society 5.0.” Elly said at the launch of the Kadin for Naker platform at the Archery Field, Gelora Bung Karno Complex (GBK), Jakarta, Sunday (30/4/2023).

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid, in his remarks said that the industrial revolution 4.0 which is filled with digital technology and automation can advance the industry, but has the potential to cause disruption in the form of replacing human resources (HR) with technology to increase production effectiveness and efficiency.

“So there are two things, how do we need to improve skills for workers or workforce in the industrial era 4.0 and also add skills if human resources must be replaced by digital technology and automation.” he explained.

As is known, KADIN for Naker is an Indonesian Kadin initiative that collaborates with the Confederation of Trade Unions or Workers and is supported by the Pijar Foundation. Kadin for Naker is a digital platform specifically for workers. The aim of Kadin for Naker is to provide training and skills development that can be accessed by all workers in Indonesia from various sectors and industries.

KADIN for Naker also provides opportunities for workers who wish to develop entrepreneurial skills. Kadin Indonesia is committed to improving the quality of Indonesian human resources, especially in the field of employment. One of the efforts to realize this is through the revitalization of vocational education and training.

Presidential Regulation No. 68 of 2022 concerning Revitalization of Vocational Education and Training mandates the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to implement the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). Kadin for Naker is one part of the preparations to increase the capacity and skills of Indonesian workers

In the KADIN for Naker platform, each worker will later find various selected programs to increase worker capacity or skills. Starting from language learning, developing skills needed to increase career paths, developing self-abilities, to interest and aptitude tests. Going forward, this platform will also provide job market services that will bridge workers with job seekers.
